Separate screen preview from print dimensions
The browser preview resizes a template to fit your screen. That visual size does not define its physical dimensions. Download the PDF or individual SVG page, select the matching paper size and choose Actual size or 100 percent in the print dialog. Disable automatic fitting, shrinking and borderless scaling unless you have independently verified the result.
Each template includes a 50 mm calibration line. Measure it after printing one page before producing the entire model. A line that measures less or more than 50 mm indicates printer scaling. Correct that setting first; changing the model dimensions to compensate can make later pages and exports inconsistent.
Use line patterns as well as colors
Solid outlines are cutting edges. Long dashes indicate mountain folds, with a ridge on the printed side. Dash-dot lines indicate valley folds, with a trough on the printed side. Short dashes mark the base of a glue tab. The printed labels belong on the outside of the finished surface, which establishes the reference side for the fold instructions.
Score and pre-fold carefully before adding glue. Use the printed line patterns when working with a monochrome printer or when colors appear similar. Gray tab shading is a visual aid, while the matching E-number identifies the receiving edge. Avoid cutting a tab away at its dashed base.
Allow for physical materials and handling
The exported geometry describes a mathematical surface with zero thickness. Real paper bends over a finite radius, and thick card, glue layers or imprecise cutting can change the final fit. Choose material appropriate to the model size and test a small section before committing to the complete assembly.
Paper pieces are packed with a margin and separation, and all their geometry is checked against the printable region. That does not promise that every printer has the same hardware margins. Inspect the printed boundaries and calibration line. Preserve the source model and downloaded template so you can repeat the same scale or make a deliberate new version later.
