Locate both sides of a matching seam
P labels identify separate paper pieces, F labels identify triangular model faces and E labels identify cut seams that must be joined. A seam has one glue tab and one receiving edge. The same E-number appears at both locations, and the assembly reference names the corresponding faces and pieces.
Select a seam in the interactive preview to highlight its tab face and receiving face. Rotate the model to inspect faces on the far side. This is especially helpful when several edges have similar lengths or when a connected paper piece wraps around multiple sides of the finished surface.
Dry-fit before committing to the reference order
The numbered assembly list provides a reproducible reference through all cut seams. It is not a simulation of hand access, glue drying or collision during physical folding. Closing a shell too early can make later tabs difficult to reach even when the unfolded geometry is valid.
Score and pre-fold the complete pattern, bring matching pieces together without glue and decide which seam should remain open until the end. Join only a few connections at a time and compare face IDs against the model preview. If a seam appears wrong, stop and check whether a piece is reversed or a mountain fold was made as a valley.
Keep the geometric evidence with the pattern
The package includes PDF templates, individual vector SVG pages, a CSV seam list and assembly JSON. The JSON records physical coordinates, face coverage, paired seams and the numerical validation result. This makes it possible to inspect whether every source face was preserved and whether a tab belongs to the expected receiving edge.
The layout is produced by a bounded greedy method. More than one valid unfolding can exist, and a larger number of pieces does not by itself mean the dimensions are wrong. Tabs may be reduced within the stated limits or pieces may be split to avoid collisions. The output reports that choice; it does not claim an optimal net or guarantee that an intricate shape will be easy to assemble.
